I have the uppers on my Cutlass and extending them didn't help me with anything... just messed up my pinion angle and made the drive shaft shake like crazy when the car is dumped... I can raise it a little higher with out the U-joint binding but now I can't dump it...

I don't know maybe I did something wrong... I have 14 inch rear cylinders and a shortened driveshaft...

Maybe if I play around with the extension length I might be able to find the mid point... where I can drive locked and dumped

No... I measured the stock upper trailing arms and extended the adjustable ones 1.25"... I've also tried a 1" extension too... I just can't find the right length... I'll measure my driveshaft and post a topic

Thanks bro... didn't know anyone had a formula

From what I've read you need to lower your upper mounts also, as said above, to correct the pinion angle when dumped.

so wait if you get these you STILL have to drop the mounts?? Whats the point, why not just drop the mounts and box in your stock uppers?

If you did that you would snap the ears off your rear end. When the rear locks up, especially with drop mounts, the uppers have to be able to twist quite a bit.

so it swivels on the threaded joint correct? do you have them on your fleetwood? what do you have them set at and what size cylinders in the rear if you do...
