Default Double DIN install in a Mercedes C240

    Hi everyone,

I have been working on installing a double din DVD player in my 2001 Mercedes-Benz C240. I had it working yesterday afternoon, and then went to go start my car last night and the key would not turn. When I went to go start it after work today it started right up, but the head unit did not work.

I bought this car at an auction sight unseen. When I received the car the head unit was missing and the stock harness for the power side had been cut off. So, I first made my connections for the head units directly to what was left of the harness, after testing that it worked I then soldered the connections. After soldering the connections, I started the car and it was idling funny. I am completely at a loss. This is my first foreign car.

I have power on pin 4 for my constant to save the memory, and power at pin 7 when the car is on.

    Any help is much appreciated!
