what year fleetwood careful when looking for info on the theft system. 1996 is different from 1994 and 1995 , not sure about 93.

iam real familiar with the 1996, 1994-1995 i know nothing about .

if its a key problem. the car wont crank.

if its a theft module issue car starts for couple seconds and dies out.

It's a 95 and it starts but sometimes the security light just stays on and it won't crank I tried the resistor under the dash now I'm building a module to just bypass the whole vats system period hope it works if not its that time of the year I'm sure some brave baller will buy the p.o.s

Check your CCM fuses in the dash.
Check your wires to the CCM in the trunk.
Get back at me if those don't work.

for future reference DEI makes a kit with every single value resistor to bypass a vats system, its what we use to install remote start on cars with vats

Does that one bypass the key cylinder or the whole vats system

The resistor only bypasses the key issue. It won't bypass the whole system, which won't help if the problem lies elsewhere.

Yeah that what i thought i had already used the resistor under the dash and no luck but this time I bypassed it at the ccm under the rear deck and it works like a charm now.

Nice, I'll have to check out that site for future reference. I bypassed the system in one of my cars by actually reflashing the PCM to take VATS out, and then hardwired a ground to the relay in the dash. :0
