Default compressor continues to run, don't shut itself off anymore???

what could be the problem, please help
I recently bought a 78 Caprice Landau on bags. I live in PA and it's winter here now and cold as a mofo. I took it out today 4 a quick ride, hit the switches to raise the front and back and one of the compressors stayed running for like 15 minutes after i raised it up? So than I hit the kill switch that's located by the battery to shut the compressors off. when i got back home i turned the kill switch back and the compressor started to run again and wouldnt go off again so i just flipped the kill switch again to keep t from draining the battery...

Usually when the compressors kick on to fill up the tank they last about 5 to 10 minutes and they go off automatically but not this time.....

What can be the problem that is keeping the compressor to run??? I'm fairly new to bags and don't know much about them. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

could it be that it's soooo cold that somethings not working correctly or is it something different??? I don't want to burn the compressor out or blow anything, so I'm just keeping the kill switch off for now, until I find out what the problem is.

Ohhh by the way there's no leaks cause I parked the car over an hour ago and left it all the way up and it's still up there.

Here's a few picks of the car by the way.

Sounds like you have a bad relay to the compressor that stays running. There should be 1 relay per compressor,so track down the wires.Well there should be a relay on each compressor

Is there a pressure switch on the tank? The switch is used to allow a certain set pressure for the tank. Mine is at 200. When the tank hits that pressure. The switch cuts of the compressors. Bagged out is also correct on the relay

today the weather was good it hit mid 40's... went out and started the car, hit the switches and the compressors turned on and then shut off...??? now its working correctly and I didnt do anything from the other day to it. Could it have been that it was just soo cold that other day the compressor stayed running something was frozen?? now its working fine.

check valve could be stuck, do you have any idea if it was building pressure? (just throwing it out there for others who end up searching this post years from now)

I would believe relay..in this case.

I would say it was when it kept running because I was able to continue to hit the switches without running out of air.

And yes today I had it out for about 2 hours and everything worked fine had some play time and the compressors turned on and off just like they should. IDK maybe it was having a bad day the other day and didnt like how cold it was.. IDK but I'm still having my boy run a check and diagnosis of everything this weekend providing the weathers in my favor.

its probably the switch but id check the air tanks too.if they are loosing air itll cause the compressors to run too.the bungs are just pressed in and known for cracking.

check the tank for water in the lines and tank if you have water and its freezing weather it will take a while to thin out the ice.

That's bad thing about air in cold temps. Creates moisture and water. Tanks need to be drained daily. What could have happen is pressure switch on tank going bad or had debris stuck in it to where it allow constant air flow. But Make sure drain tanks daily.
