Heres the thing............Cruise Controls werent officially offered until the 1960 model year, but all accessories are made and available prior to the next model year actually coming out, ie 1964 cruise controls are actually made in 1963 and so on, so when the 59 literature and first 59s came off the line, no there was no cruise controls offered, only speedminder and throttle holder but mid year, the cruise controls have been produced and are good to go and start showing up at the dealerships for the upcoming 1960 models which every one knows the next year car line always comes out mid prior year. So they are still selling 59 chevies and cruise controls are sitting in dealerships............joe blow comes in and they are pushing hard to get rid of the 59 inventory and joe, goes I dunno if I want a 59, i think I will hold off a few months for the new 60's because they have crusie control offered, you better believe that sales man said he would put a cruise control on a 59!!!!!!!!!

so no they were not officially offered, but they will fit and were available late 60 year run..................

And trust me I have sold plenty of them to people who did put them in 59s!!!!!! They are hands down the rarest cruise control that was produced 60-64. The rarest form of them being the 6cyl and the 348 version!!!!!!!
