got my 75 dart sport model in the mail today. its a cheesy kit but i got a 71 duster parts car that im gonna use the chassis and engine bay from since this one has steel axles and the engine bay is molded into the chassis itself. im gonna paint it metal specks green and use real undercoating on the bottom. im gonna try and get the rear seat to fold down like my 1:1 car. im also gonna try doin cruzinlows foam interior to help look more realistic.

ya i know the box says plymouth duster but that just shows that the people at AMT dont know shit bout mopars



its got the dart taillights....

even says dodge across the top of the grille


gotta shave the molded in hood pins and the side marker lights. im also gonna cut the door handels off and put the chrome pair off my 60 imp to help give it a more realistic look


heres a pic of both chassis. the black on is from a 71 duster which i will be using. the unpainted one is the one that came with the kit and has the driveshaft molded in and uses steel axles. on the black one the spare tire well is cut out cuz someone had cut it out on my 1:1 car so im gonna make a flat floor for it.

yup..... you did....

on the dart the fenders are even cut back wrong. i got a duster fender behind it so you can see the differnce (behind the tire)


i had an extra duster body so i cut the engine bay out and im fitting it to the dart body

dont got any. id like to cut the one off the backseat that way i already got the right shape and whatnot

got the engine bay glue in place

and i cut the duster fenders to make the filler pieces where they were cut back wrong

alright for the door panels and rear side panels im gonna do the tuck n roll style like my 1:1 car

a quick mockup with a set of chrome wires from one of my kits. i got a set of green spoked ones coming from marky mark.

well im commited to opening the doors now lol. workin on hinges right now


trunk is gonna be a lil tricky to open up since it goes right up to the rear window trim

the grille on my 1:1 car is plastic so it wont be chrome so im either thinkin gloss black or body color green

yup.........Go to walmart and buy some "for sale" signs. They have different thickness, so for a few dollars you can get a few different sizes. Should last awhile.

thanks phat. i wasnt sure if itd be to much green or not,so need other peoples opinions, ya know?
