whats the easiest way you have found to remove old bushings? Everyone seems to have their own ways from heat to air chisels but what really works best??

I've found that sand blasting the bushing sleeves makes them easier to pop out with an air chisel. The rust tends to bind them up.

i use a plasma cutter or weld the sleeves in place...and it gets the bushing hot enough to catch it on fire and it melts out..but if ud ont have those tools readily accessable then the bushing tool will do the job

I use a press and some sockets, tubes, etc.

Those bushing tools look pretty sweet though.

BTW, those two kits posted, look like the kit at Harbor Freight. I imagine it's the same, just different decals.

I used a press with homemade cups for a long time.I also have the bushing tools that I wouldnt say are easier, but are funner to use.either way, you have to have the right cups.

If you need to reuse the factory shell (some rare bushings) you can drill the rubber out or melt it out.

I don't think that poor mans way works on most of our cars. We have that bar that runs through the arms.

I use to do it with a mallet. It took forever.
