How exactly do i plumb a 1 pump 4 dump setup so to get individual control from it for 2 wheels. I guess when activated, the 3rd or 4th dumps close off whichever side to cause pressure, which fills the other cylinder??
or maybe someone has some detailed info on a 4 dump manifold i can get my hands on SOMEONE HELP!! -------------------- A man with a gun, and a good idea, is always dangerous

OK, draw this up as you read it so it's easier to understand.
Tee out of the pump as you would normally into the first two dumps. Plug the "Normally Open" (the other side) port of both dumps. Pipe out of the "Dump" ports of both of those dumps into the "Normally Open" ports on the second pair of dumps. Pipe out of the other "Normally Open" ports to your cylinders. Pipe the "Dump" ports of those two back to your pumps as usual. Keep in mind, you now need 6-prong switches for individual control, and 12-prong for front or back. So a pancake switch is out of the question unless you can find a 24-prong switch. They're out there, but I'd say forget about it. The reason for so many prongs is because each corner now has to activate the first dump (as well as the pump) in order to raise. You'll get it as you draw it up. I thik I need to draw something up 'cause a lot of people ask about this. -------------------- SIGNATURE & CAR UNDER CONSTRUCTION... '00 Deville DTS

Well, it sounds like he's only hooking it up to 2 corners, so just individual up and down in the front or back only. -------------------- SIGNATURE & CAR UNDER CONSTRUCTION... '00 Deville DTS

ok check it, i've got a whole 4 pump setup,...but i'm a smart ass and like to do things normally most people wouldn't. i like to challenge myself. yeah i could just carry over the 3 pump from my Blazer (which is a 4x4, in comes the smartass) but that would be too easy.Plus it's a body dropped Bronco II, not built to hop or stunt or nothing. just think the added abilty to dogleg and shit would be a crowd pleaser. and i'm also trying to keep it clean and simple yea know, less is more!
i think that will answer all the "why even bother" questions or remarks any of you might have -------------------- A man with a gun, and a good idea, is always dangerous

sweet man!! thanks man...i was thinking, just out of curiousity, so that i don't get a wild hair up my ass and try it...what would happen if you wired the pump and the 1st dump to the same prong? it should still activate them at the same time, with 24 volts right?
what i'm asking is, what would happen if the pump and 1st dump we wired together, would that cause you to lose anything? like trying to run a pancake on a 6 prong, you lose your ability to dump corners ya know -------------------- A man with a gun, and a good idea, is always dangerous

Well if you wired the first dump to the same prong as the pump, it would open every time you activate the pump. Basically you'll end up with a 2-dump system like everyone else. ...UNLESS you add diodes to each "PUMP" wire on every switch to keep the power from crossing over to the other side (DUMP). It's possible but I was just trying to give you the easy way out. I did that for a minute in '91 but finding diodes that can handle the amperage wasn't easy back then. I can get them at All Electronics now, but I run something different from regular switches now anyway. -------------------- SIGNATURE & CAR UNDER CONSTRUCTION... '00 Deville DTS
