that doesnt seem too bad, but im not sure how many miles are on it or anything. id say offer him like 3000 and see what he says. didnt he own your 67 at one time? it was in his driveway for awhile.

Yep same place last year people left like around 9pm and we ended it at 7pm.

Hey Purp.. was the cylinder pushing against the arm bar? It kinda looks it. If it is it could be caused by by one of two things.... either the cylinder hole was slighly off... but I doubt that or if your just running one donut per front cylinder it could have bent the way you hop that thing and is no longer flat... that would cause the cylinder to possibly push against that bar... Check the donut if that's the case and if so add another donut with that one...
Looking at how it snapped.. and how it broke that's a cast steel part.. welding that would be a waste of time...

Exactly... with the hopping the bushings could have gone bad or even loosened up the bolts holding it thus allowing it to move where the cylinder is etc. Hard to speculate without really seeign the problem area. Good points... also the arm could be hitting the cylinder at the very bottom of a hop causing it to push on the bar... Maybe not notch enough on the uppers...

back when i was first introduced to that car (if its the same one) it DID have switches, and came from New York. the car that you are talking about does not have switches so either they took them out or its a diff car.
