This years show is slated for September 4th 2005 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Terryville Fairgrounds in Terryville CT. This years show features over 70 Competition Categories (listed below!), Hydraulic / Airbag Competition, Lowrider Competition, Engine Rev Competition, Club Categories, Tug-of-War, Devil Dog eating Contest, DJ, Merchandise Vendors, Raffles and more. Registration Closes at 12:00PM - Arrive Early! - NEW larger show area, Plenty of free spectator parking. Fliers are currently being printed, email us with your mailing address and we'll mail one out to you as soon as thier available. 1. Unbolt the u joint from the rear end.
2. There's 2 bolts holding the center bearing in the middle of the "X". Unbolt them.
3. Slide the driveshaft out of the transmission.
4. Pull the driveshaft/center bearing out of the frame.
5. Seperate the 2 pieces of the driveshaft by unbolting the other U-joint.
6. There is a bolt in the end of the shaft (huh huh... I said "shaft") that holds the end on, unbolt it & remove the end.
7. Remove center bearing & replace it.
Not bad to do really.
I've had the shaft out a Million times, that's easy. Now you're saying that the bolt where the number 1 is pointing, when removed, will allow the Carrier to slip off?
And then what? does the bearing just slide out? do you know if I can get one locally to replace it?
And the number 2 is pointing to the u-joint. How can I remove that in a manner that would allow me to put it back together when I'm done. can I just remove that retainer clip?
