    Sorry bro been busy w work. Yeah that original bracket is way to flimsy. Get 3 inch strap and run just like you said. But it will have to bow down in the middle to accommodate the wheel as the wheel sits lower then the top plate in the bucket. Then off of that you can build your upside down U to attache your adapter. The site wint let me post any pics at all for some reason...

    Haven't worked on it for a while. This is where I'm stuck at. I've got to figure out how to move this latch mount somehow so it will clear the wheel and be able to latch. The catch rod is just laying there it is not welded in place.

    Finally finished the Booty! Had to do a lot of fabrication but I got it done!. Now I have to hope it goes back on the Fleetwood without any more modifications.
