    Default Oil pan trouble

    69 impala with air ride
Hi, I have a question about oil pan, my 69 impala is on air, but the problem is when she lay down the oil pan hit the ground before the frame, so is there an issue with using an oil pan Less high than originally, for sbc 350.

probably hard to find. they're all about alike. figure out how far below the crossmember the pan hangs,. them make a little skid plate a little thicker then that. make it so it hangs over the back of the crossmember most of the way to the back of the pan.

    What about the trans?

Be careful laying that pan on the ground. You run the risk of collapsing the pan onto the oil pick up. If that happens, you could potentially starve the engine for oil.
