This post is to show the status of my 64 Impala and the years and work it's taken to get it to where it's at today. I couldn't have done any of it without the help of some great friends. It's not perfect or complete by any means but it's a cruiser and that's what i have it for. Someday soon maybe i'll get it painted the color i've always wanted... Silver Blue with a white top. Ok, on to the pictures!

first thing i had to do was put some 13's on her for a better stance. also got rid of the single exhaust and put on dual exhaust with classic 18 inch glasspacks to make some noise. here's a pic of her all cleaned up ready to show. not sure who put this trim on or why, but it needs to go.

second thing to get straight was the leaking motor and slipping powerglide. pulled both out and sold to a local dragracer.

Finally got that awful plastic trim off and put on the correct 64 impala trim with rockers to complete the look. That trim bothered me for years. Couldn't wait to get it right. Totally changed the look of the car 100%.

Next i had to get a plaque for the back window. I'm not in any clubs so i figured i'd make one to represent my company, Manifest. My high school friend Jason has his own fabricating/ metal shop and worked up this amazing one of a kind plaque off a drawing i gave him. It turned out amazing and turns heads wherever i go. the chrome on this thing is like nothing you've ever seen.

Thank's again Jason and if you need your own plaque made, check him out at http://epicmetalworks.net/

Next up was doing the airride setup. I debated with doing this or saving up for a paint job with body work. Well the paint and body will be a costly and timely project and i'd rather roll it how it is and enjoy it. So after almost 3 years or so of owning this car and doing everything except the paint and body, i decided to go ahead and do the airride. I know alot of people don't like air or think it has to be juice if it's on an impala. I say it's your car, you paid for it so you should do whatever you want. But i will say, this airride setup has changed some minds of hydro fans. Clean and fast and very quite!

For some reason i thought this airride install would take a weekend, maybe 2 solid days. Maybe not. It took myself and 3 good friends 4 solid days from sunup to sundown to complete this. I never imagined it would take this long but with only one of us doing this before, it took us a bit longer. And about 8 trips to home depot and lowes for more and more fittings. I'm sure they thought we were building some kind of pipe bomb or moonshine still.

And i have to give a huge shoutout to Frank from http://kustomairsuspensions.com/ he was a huge help and was always there to answer any question we had. Hit him up for any airirde needs!

Below is the setup i put together to do Front/Back-Side to Side-All up and pankcake:
    All new custom airride setup installed. 4 slam re 7 bags/ 1/2" lines all around/ 2 10 gallon tanks in trunk/ 2 viair 380 compressors in trunk/ 8 1/2" smc valves in trunk/ 2 1/2" water traps in trunk/ 2 ball valves in trunk/ 1 200 psi gauge/ 1 square d adjustable pressure switch/ 4 mufflers/ all brass and copper fittings throughout/ 5 switches on custom made switchplate.

Debut of the impala on air at the local show. These old guys aren't fans of the airride or maybe it's the small wheels? Heard "are you mexican now" a couple of times. Gotta love the south!

I was 14 or so when i saw my first 63 impala lowrider and was hooked right from the start. Well it took me almost 19 years to have mine and be able to "hit the switch". There is nothing like it, that's for sure!
