ok, i guess my mtx 8000 subs are not holding up, one keeps falling apart. im going to try using jb-weld this time see if it holds, but if it doesnt im going to be going with some new subs. what do you guys think would sound better, 1 thunder9500 15" sub, 1 w7 15" (or whatever size closest to that, they make), 2 L7 solo barics 12", or 2 w3 12 or 13"?

i have a mtx 81000d 1000 watt amp to power the subs. it would also be nice to have extra trunk space (a 15" sub instead of 2 12" subs).

what do you pro's out there think would sound best though with my amp? what subs would hit better deeper bass and would be the best in the long run? what other subs do you guys recomend??

w7 13 out of those, 13 is the largest size
1 w7 13" would sound better than any one 15" sub?[/b][/quote]
sq wise yes, most consider it the best sounding sub out. But it isnt the loudest sub out. And unless you get a good deal on it you can do better for the money.

I doubt that ;)

How many world champion sq cars use them? 1 or 2? What about the rest of the people that have beat these out on the sq competition circuit?

Install is far more important than the actual product used. In 9/10 cases, I can make a $40 sub sound better than a w7.

That being said, the w7 is no "superwoofer". For the price, there are better on the market. For the performance, there are much cheaper options....

W7...the never-ending story of it. No...the W7 isn't the best SQ subwoofer (if you want SQ, look at Velodyne, Dynaudio, etc.). No...the W7 isn't the best SPL subwoofer either (if you want SPL, look at Treo Engineering, Digital Designs, Atomic Loudspeakers, Incriminator Audio, etc.).

It is a good (and overpriced) daily-driving subwoofer. It's competition would be Resonant Engineering (XXX), Adire Audio (Brahma MKII), etc.
