Hey can someone draw me a diagram on how i works i mean draw it out showing 8 soleniods valve mounted on 1 pump, oh yea i'm not talking about the One pump 8 dump manifold............




How would i wire it up the 8 dumps to 4 switches so i can lift independently........

That looks good but its wrong. I mean there is no point in having all those solenoids.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's WRONG, but yeah, 3 solenoids would be more than enough.

It's a single pump system that they want FBSS from.

Actually, it's a set-up with which they want individual-corner control.

For example, on the average, basic 2-pump installation, you cannot raise A SINGLE side from the pancaked position. You can only do that with a 4-pump set-up, or an 8-dump set-up. You also can't do around-the-worlds, side-to-side see-saws, old-school power-3's, etc.

just do a manifold. Hell of a lot easier and looks very clean. 8 dumps on one pump is pretty much just damn ugly as hell, unless you have each dump hardlined and suspended, but who would do that :biggrin:

No, I don't and I'm definitely no "guru." The only thing you can see of my hydraulics are the pumps anyway. The dumps and hoses are hidden, snaking themselves around the covered spare tire. Oh yeah, in front of the spare, you can see the tops of the 4 accum's poking up.

And I'm always my own worse critic... why didn't I do this this way and why didn't I do that that way. Next thing you know, I don't even want ANY pictures taken. Right now my excuse is, I'll take pictures when I redo my trunk. It's the curse of having OCD.

You're right, depending on how the set-up is done. My first 1-pump, 8-dump set-up was one I did on a friend of mine's Sidekick back around '93. The beauty of these hard ass hoses is that you can "tighten them into shapes" and they won't budge. His pump looked like it had a big 4-leafed clover on it. Sounds stupid now, but 10 years ago, it was the shit.

a nice hardlined dump setup is the best way to go, I have refused to have a non-hardlined setup since I did my own in 1998

It is not wrong if you want to add switches past 8. Now, you are correct, there would be no reason for all the solenoids but you would have to use dpdt (6 prong) switches to get it to do what you wanted it to do just for each corner. Now, if you were going to add more switches then it would be a good idea to use all those solenoids and only use the spdt (3 prong) switches for each corner. You see, when you use all the solenoids to do the moves, then you can wire up any old 4 pump switchbox and make it seem like a 4 pump setup. If you do not use the solenoids then you have to wire up your own switchbox and you will be limited on the amount of switches you use. You will have to use a 4pdt (12 prong) switch just to give you the sides and front or back. Then how will you wire up a pancake switch or a seesaw switch? You can't because you need to have all the pressure dumps separated. I bet I confused a lot of people but I know that some will get it. I know vwlownslo knows what I am saying. Hey, bouncin89, how do you have yours? I think I read yours one time as useing a 6 prong just for 1 corner. Am I correct?

yeah, I have one on my dancer for the steering and VooDoo has one for the drive.
