Well, I have a big photo shoot this weekend. I want to know what is right and wrong to do to make sure my car has the deepest shine possible. I will be using Mirco-fiber towels to apply and take off. The paint is HOK Kandy. I want the best possible for the paint job. Most of the car was painted 2 months ago, 2 panels are about a month old.

Do I buff it? What brand? Any advice?

When I wax it, what brand name works best?

Any advice and or products to get let me know.

Thanks,
Jon

Depending how long ago you had it painted , you might not want to put any type of sealant on it at all as the paint wont cure right and sealant is a bitch to get off , as in if you were to just do it for the show .
So how fresh is the paint ?

Call these 3 stores and ask if they have Meguiars' #16 professional Paste in stock - buy a few http://www.geoserve.com/scripts/esrimap.dl...=33801&x=47&y=2

Only use #16 OVER top your last stage of glaze or polish and ony IF your paint isnt less than 60 days fresh .

Apply it in like 4 sq ft sections with a yellow foam pad http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...070§ionID=26101
& wipe off with MF towel before going to the next 4'x4' section . That will make it easy to buff off

Then use your quick detailer spray at the show .

TERRY'S AUTO PAINT SUPPLY, INC. 419 5 ST SW WINTER HAVEN FL 33880 (941) 294-4258

Next call these spots and grab the following ( if one has them all maybe )

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=31101 use two buckets - one clean water to rinse your mitt EVERY time before you put it back into the soapy bucket

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=45101 you can use this on your engine rubber too

Use this on your paint 1st after you wash it and completely dry it

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=22101 wash

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=23101 dry

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=26101 applying glazes and polish

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=31401

then this http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=31401 if your paint is less than 60 days old

http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=31401 if it's more than 60 days old

go over it with this http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=47101 AT the show and remove with a fresh MF ( no tag attached )

Maybe grab some glass cleaner and/or glass polish and these http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_det...sectionID=27101 to shine your glass out too while you're at it ..

If your paint aint fresh then grab the Meguiars hand polish , #20 sealant and apply the #16 over top the sealant after the sealant cures and you buff excess off .
Whatever your' applying - do it SUPER thin !!!! a lot dont mean more shine ever , just makes it take so much longer to cure , harder to remove excess and can cause streaking and hazinesss .. especially in FLA heat

Wow Papi that is detailed. Holy crap. Thanks for all the input. I will take it one step at a time...LOL
Part of the car is about 3 months old, the other part is about one month.

I would just clean the engine and chrome and windows and interior HELLA good . Then use the hand polish and new gar glaze until the 1 month old areas are 60 days old or better . This will ensure your paint is nourished and will also still allow it to cure fully just in case it hasn't gassed out completely yet .
Then after it's cured - wash and clay the car and windows and chrome and all have someone experienced go over the car with an orange pad and M8232 #82 speed glaze . This will get anything your eye cant see off the paint .
Follow that up with a good wash and an app of #21 sealant - maybe even two coats 24 hours apart followed by the #16 carnuba for really good depth and extra protection .
Then just wash your car with light soap and water or just the quick detailer to get off dust and light dirt .
If you want to REALLY know what's up with keeping it looking beyong good , just pm me .
