I have a 66 impala convt. that needs a new frame, i also have a hardtop that has a good frame, what do I need to do to the hardtop frame to make it work on the rag top?

THERE ARE MORE BODY MOUNTS ON A RAG SO NOT SURE IF YOU CAN JUST ADD IN THE EXTRA MOUNTS.

SOUNDS REASONABLE TO ME

not totally sure on the frames after 64 but the earlyer ones just needs 2 extra bodymounts to fit a vert body.

jsut add the mounts after you bolt down the frame...

just remember to brace the inside of your ragtop before doing so!...for support till your weld and bolt it the extra mount...

1-brace your convertable up...from the kick panel to the upper part of the inside quarter

2-unbolt the car and remove the frame...carfully...still fragile even if its braced up...lift equaly!

3-put your hard top frame under it...bolt it down where your can

4-add up the missing mounts from your convertable frame...and bolt it down

5-when every thing is straight and bolted...take off the bracing...

done! ;)
