200 metric tranny question

638 Views 9 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  cceregalboy
i got a 200 metric trans in my Regal
it shifts fine but the torque converter lockup solenoid is bad i think
if i keep the plug plugged in, the car won't shift out of overdrive at a stoplight
it's like pullin out in 4th gear.....lol
can this be replaced for a reasonable price or is it easy enough for me to do myself?
holla with any info

wheres the lockup solonoid located?
i know the plug is on the side of the tranny
i unplugged it for now but now i don't have overdrive
Next time it happens (with it plugged in) try manually shifting down to 1. Then up to 2, etc. It should kick down when you manually do it.

Definately sounds like the lockup solenoid.
