i have a 2000 monte carlo and when i turn it off and try to press on the gas to rev up the engine it shuts off and then doesnt want to turn back on does anyone know what it could be??

you mean when you turn it "on" and press the gas??

intake manifolds go out on every one of those cars. Theyll cause a vacuum leak and the engine wont run right. Also can cause an oil leak.

Some also have computer problems, sounds like its flooding the hell out of it so it wont even start up.

yeah i can turn it on...then after it is on i try to rev up the engine and then it dies....

Is the check engine light on? Does it smell like unburnt gas when it's dying out? Can you hear any vacuum lines hissing under the hood with it idleing? How many miles on the engine?

a car that new uses obd2 codes. go to like auto zone or antbody like that and they will plug sometin into your car and if the compuer has a peoblem with anyting on the car it will tell the guy scanning it and he can tell u exslacky what u need
