Hey fellas. I need someone to explain one thing to me. What's the benefit of having a 1" ported block when it's being fed by a 1/4" or 5/6" hole!?!

Is there REALLY a benefit to going this large? Has anyone ever upgraded just their fitting diameter and saw a noticeable increase in inches when hopping?!?

I would think of this as a choke point right off the bat. With the design of the blocks and the hole for the motor, I don't think you can really make that hole much bigger.

But it seems like it destroys the reason why guys like big lines and 3/4" or 1" plumbing... flow
