I bought a cheap accord for the winter, and when it hits 3rd gear it stays at 2500rpm no matter how much I press the gas. It shifts smooth otherwise. Could this just be some type of sensor? The car has 195k miles, so its not worth a major repair...

he's saying to shift it manually..on accords with autos they are know for having trans problems..so u could either change out the fluid so it will shift ( but after you do so the trans won't last long) or u cant drive it till it goes out and u will end up shifting it manually through each gear..i've been there and done that with an older accord i had. it was a 91..my 93 manual never had a problem though...i'm just hoping 2000 auto holds up...hondas are known for not knowing how to build an auto trans..
