why would u do that?
think my 5.0 motor is going bad.. its got 230,000 miles and i have a 4.6 with under 100,000 miles sitting in a garage.. im gonna take it in to a shop this week and see what they think is wrong.. i hope its something simple..
I would personally just rebuild the 5.0. I'm definately not a fan of the early 4.6s....

but it looks like you got everything you would need to get it working, I'm just wondering what kind of little details you would be missing on from the 97?? Like dash monitoring wiring, etc..?
right thats my opinion too.. i was just wondering.. i know it would be a lot of work to swap it out..
I would like to do something similar, I just bought a 82 mark vi and want to swap a newer 5.0 in it.

no what is junk is those peice of shit throttle body carbs they put on them
In one word no the 5.0 and the 4.6 have differant motor mounts and I belive bolt patterns. I think the flexplate is differant also
you can pick up a good running 5.0 motor used for $300 to $500 dollars
