how built? 350 is cheaper by like $700, I'd want a 400 any how.....

it cost about $1k to make a 700r4 strong for power, and they cost like $1k to start with....

700r4 has 4 gears, its like a 350 with an overdrive (what the final is on the 400, well I think its higher though)

Im running a high performance 307, but I dont know which tranny I should chose? I do wanna beable to light my tires up if I have to, So I need a tranny with a deep first gear. Which should I chose?

What are the pros & cons of 700r4 & 350 turbo trannys?
The question is do they make a 700r4 that has a BOP bolt housing to bolt up to your oldsmobile engine? The answer is NO. They are CHEVY transmissions.

The overdrive tranny for BOP is the 200-4R. Which, in my opinion is JUNK. But, that's my opinion  It can still be used however as an overdrive tranny and as someone pointed out, great for 13s on the highway.

4L60 is a better overdrive tranny because when they come out with the first 700's they had a lot of problems thats why they had them changed within a few years. if you do use the 700, make sure you get the corvette servo and if you want a harder shift a 500 boost valve and get spacers out and replace with clutch discs. overdrive is excelent with 13's.
