hey, ive got a 66 lincoln and am looking for 3 8" subs to put in the spare tire well, what subs should i get, any suggestions? and i have a soundstream amp that is 600 watts rms at 4 ohms so if the subs are around 200 rms each thatd be good. or 2 that are 300 rms each. if yall have any input let me know. thanks

RE 8's would be a good choice

But 3 is gay do 2 or 4, wiring would be much better

2 would work best with your amp
or idmax 8's... cardomain had an "unbeatable price" on them...

2 would be the way to go about it though...

Maybe Solo X, or IDMAX

3-8" @ 4 ohms = 1.3 ohms

i DONT BELIVE HIS AMP IS 1 OHM STABLE OR NEAR, BUT HE DIDNT GIVE US THE REFERENCE MODEL # OR SERIES, AND SOME SOUNDSTREAM AMPS ARE 1 OHM STABLE.

shit sorry for caps, and he said the amp puts out [email protected] ohms, he doesnt need to go any lower than 2 ohms probably at max. Those 8's will smoke in a daily with 600W rms to them.

As much as I hate kicker, they're L7 8's are loud as shit. Best ive heard of one doing was a 141.x in a slot box at like 47hz (a box specifically tuned for it) But id imagine that 3 of them in one sealed box would be loud and acurate. Ive found while playing with my L7's that they sound great in a small sealed 1 cf box. So, get three = 3 cubic foot. Tell ya though, only one of those 8's is pretty loud for what it is, that is if you wanna stay with something that small.

Also Tang Band makes some really loud obnoxious 8" subs too.... Ive seen 3 of those tang band's do low 140's off of 800 watts. Tang Band subs can be purchased off of www.partsexpress.com for real cheap. I wouldnt of believed it myself if I hadnt seen it

the amp is 2 x 300 rms @2 ohms, so which ones do yall think?? REs, idmaxs, or the L7s? let me know,  probabally just 2 though, easier for my amp.
thats gonna be up to you, all three produce a different type of bass (believe it or not)...

the sound quality and loudness of all three subs are different...
