1", but I always do a drop mount when I extend uppers to keep good pinion angle.
Okay with the drop mount do u do a slip yoke? I dont drive my car enough to justify totally redoing the drive train. i just wanted to drive locked up and lay low when parked

I'm thinking I'm going to remove these uppers and cut them down an 1-1/4" and reweld them and live with the results.

What you need to do big dog is extend lower back trailing arm about 1 inch so it will let you lock up higher and it will change the angle of the drive shaft , also you won't jam your driveshaft into your transmission.
Good info and I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna see if i can cut the inch out of the uppers and weld into the lowers. if possible that will be cool. if not ill just use filler piece

If you extend the bottoms 1 inch you don't have to shorten the top ones cause your moving the bottoms which would make your top just 1 inch difference, on mine I extended the bottoms 2 inches so then I extended the tops 4 inches so in reality I did 2 inches on top, car drove good locked up but not all the way down, so then I added 4 inch drop mount on upper trailing arm and shorten the tops about 1/2 inch, oh yeah I have 14's in back . The drop mounts change the angle of driveshaft so I needed to cut uppers 1/2 inch , now car drives layed out or locked up, I'll post some pics ,it took me a little to figure out the right combo, my homies car has12's and that's what we're working on right now

I had 14's on the rear of my cutlass with all stock arms. i dont remember anything negative about it but i do know your arms are only
going to let your diff travel so much. i dont think you can get a full 14" lock up

I extended my lowers today by 1", and left my uppers extended at 2". Drives fine at all heights up to 30 mph. Was about to drive on main road and return line busted :uh:
