Okay I am soon going to install a custom radio in my '83 Coupe DeVille, but the original radio has the CB option with the wires that go from the head unit down the inside of the dash to the microphone under the dash. so when I try to get the radio out of the dash it only comes forward like a half an inch because the CB wires are holding it in. so how the fuck do I get it out, this is starting to piss me off! :happysad:

That's a factory option? Odd that a Caddy would have a CB in it. You have any pictures?

It was quite a common option in the early 80's on Caddy's in the Southeast...

my cousine use to have a 80's sedan deville with factory cb he had to go to the dealer and em like $15 to remove it....

Okay thanks for the help, I guess I'll take it to the dealer some time soon and have it done. by the way I asked the lafy that ordered it originaly and she said that she couldent even remember why she got the CB :lol:

both my caddys had a cb in it. when i pulled the radio out the dash i stuck my hand in as far as i could fit and cut it(the cb cable that is)

Yeah I tryed that but I have big hands and I didn't fit Is there any way to keep the mic under the dash, I think it looks cool there
