Hello Guys,

I am working on a 84 cadillac Deville. Forgive me as I my other cars have always been SBF from mustangs and such.
One thing i notice is how annoying it is to switch from metric to SAE constantly.

Any how, this car seems to be quite complicated with all the EGR and vacuum devices. I want to simplify under the hood. What can be removed fairly easily that would have little impact for me?

The previous owner told me the engine was a 307... From what i read it should be a 4100HT. Does this mean someone has swapped it out already?

What systems are driven by vacuum?

Thank you in advance.
