95 cadillac deville sedan fwd ?

I just bought the car and was looking at the shocks cause im gonna lower it, there is 2 wires with a snap connector going to the top of each of the shocks up front. What is this ? thanks alot

Its never gonna hold any kind of alingment lowered, or lifted unless you do it by cutting the strut housing below the spring perch, trust me I had 1 of those and an STS ( same front suspension) .
