hey all
i asked this before and i forgot the damn answer....lol
i just installed my accumulators today and i wanted to make sure they are workin ok
what psi should the nitrogen be at?
and how can you tell if they are workin ok, besides the obvious of drivin the car and test it
is there anything i can check while the car is stationary in the garage?
when i raise it up, it seems to bounce like an old car with bad shocks...lol
is this somewhat normal?
if so, it's all good then
holla with any accumulator info you know of cause i'm a newbie to this shit... lol
thanx guys

Don't put the shocks back on, they're redundant when you already have accum's. I run 175/125 psig (front/rear) during cold weather, and 300/250 psig during the summer. Don't just stick with those numbers though 'cause it all depends on the weight of your car and how you like to drive.

thanx man
i just took it out for a ride.... WOW
it rides so nice it almost feels like my Lincoln Town Car
i see that it does slow the system down, though
i only put them on the back , so the front is still quick
but dippin sides and raisin up is a little uneven
i guess that's the price to pay for a nice, quiet ride

i run between 500 and 900 psi per/accum,

hard ride but very responsive
if it has a hard ride, why do you even have them on?
just curious cause you could have a hard ride and be responsive without even putting them on

it rides waesome, man
just remember, it slows your system down pretty much
but at least i can drive it without bouncin all over the road.... lol
i think i might get some shutoff valves for the accumulators sometime
that way i can turn them off when i want to really clown around
until then, it's all good

well its not like rock hard,

the reason is I don't have springs becasue I have Mc Pherson struts...

and responsive is more what i'm looking for than ride quality, If and when I go on long trips then i let some out, to about 500psi it rides nice at 500psi and is still responsive... 900 is for clowning and city driving, caus, like 5 ton precuts, hitting a bump at 130km/hour is a challenge and not always fun for the hotty is the passenger seat...

I usually carry a small tank of nitrogen with me for long trips so I can change when I feel....

i run between 500 and 900 psi per/accum,

hard ride but very responsive
where do you go to get the accum charged?[/b][/quote]
I charge and discharge them myself. Get yourself a nirogen cylinder and the right fittings and test out a few settings. Some people like a soft ride, and some like it harder. I like mine in between.

Where would I pick up a nirogen cylinder? Also, around what price is that going to run me??

What do you mean by the "right fittings"??? Can you be more specific?

Pick up a small nitrogen bottle from a compressed gas shop, ie. Keen Compressed Gas. A 2000-psig bottle is about the size of a fire extinguisher and costs around $70. Refills are $5 to $10, but I've had mine for about 3 years and have never refilled it. Then you'll need a high pressure gauge, at least 400-psig but it depends on what pressures you'll be using. You'll need a refill fitting that goes on the accum. itself. Get that from the place you got the accum's. Many of the accum's have a European fitting and most compressed gas joints will not have anything to adapt to it. Then a hose, blowdown, etc. and you're all set.

It takes me about 5 minutes to check / set all of my accums and I do it every 3 months as the weather changes. They are sooo "the shit" it's not even funny.
