the spec for the viair
are

• 12-Volt
• Permanent Magnetic Motor
• Duty Cycle: 33% @ 100 PSI
• Max. Working Pressure: 150 PSI
• Amp Draw: 19 Amps
• Min. Ambient Temp: -40° F
• Max. Ambient Temp: 158° F
• Dimensions: 8.00” L x 4.00” W x 7.05” H
• Net Weight: 6.95 lbs.

and for the thomas 337

40% Duty Cycle
150 psi Max Pressure
21 Amp current draw
This compressor weighs 9 pounds, and is 8" in length (8.5" to mounting holes), the motor is 3" in diameter, and is 6.25" tall. The wires (12 gauge) are 12" long.

This compressor is at its best on tanks 5 gallons and under, although it will work fine on larger tanks with proper care. The Thomas compressor line has always been well-known for reliability over speed, and you remember who won the race between the tortoise and the hare!
