Which is the better choice performance wise and dependability for a double pump hopper? I am debating whether to just replace my current 3/4 aluminum block or buy two new steel blocks.

material has nothing to do with flow.

the reason aluminum engine componants flow better is because they are made with larger ports, it has nothing to do with the material.
