This project is the rear deck.

Here is the left corner with two layers of fiberglass already hardened.

Here is the right corner

Here is the middle of the deck. Also with two layers. It was easier to build these pieces separately.

Here the three pieces are connected. Now it is one big piece.

Now the deck is wrapped with material and ready for the fiberglass resin.

The deck has cured (with layers of resin). Bondo has been applied and now is ready for the many, many hours of sanding.

Until next time

Yes that is speaker grill cloth.

I didn't put any layers of mat because it's not a load-bearing structure. It's just the material soaked in resin and covered in bondo.

The grill cloth makes a totally different shape than just the fiberglass alone.

I made the the bottom part (the three different pieces) as the base. Then I put the grill cloth on.
It makes a smoother transition from the corner pieces to the middle pieces.

That's really impressive! Keep up the work, I look forward to seeing more pics. Never seen how fibreglass goes together. :)

There aren't going to be any speakers put in the rear deck. I don't know what kind I will be going with. As for subs, maybe a couple of 10's nothing bigger. Simply I don't have the room to have the speakers and be able to work on it.
