Tony I believe they are like mini suitecases... From What I've seen... They are a module style battery pack that slips in....
But they are also Lith style batts...Older ones were AGM

hmm, it sound like you just said it' two 12 VDC batteries in ono case, being that small these would not last when used for hydraulics.
