air ride makes a bolt on kit, but it is big $$$! all new a-arms and trailing arms too.

I too have been blessed with the knowledge of the 63 Impala bracket, but as promised to my master, I will never divulge the secret!

Cutting the spring pocket is for clearance reason that way the bag wount come in contact with the frame and pop. You can run a smaller diameter bag, like a Slam Specialties RS52, or 5" diameter Firestone also. What most poeple do is run a taller/longer upper mount to bring the bag down out of the pocket, and then you don't need to cut. The only draw back to doing this is that you wount be able to lay out on large diameter wheels. Because the overall mounting dimentions are to long, and the suspension can't compress down far enough.
The are companies out there that manufacture a kit for those car that require no, to very little trimming. KP Components (kpcomponents.com ) offers a kit for the Impala's and can custom build you cups to the size you need as well.
