I thought my sorta baby blue silver/blue metallic paint would look nice with a pearl over it? Anybody done this? If you have pics or links please post.
Not quite "baby blue," but it's blue and silver metal flake over a silver base with a blue pearl all around (courtesy of HOK).

I'm working on my '87 Cutlass Ciera, which looks a lot like the Buick--except the tail lights. How did you make those?
Yeah, similar bodies (GM uni-body). I just used the 98-2002 ZR4 Corvette taillights and had my buddy fabricate a whole entire custom bezel out of sheet metal. He blended it into the body to make it nice and clean...

Car looks good.......but I think you should do something with the roof.
Maybe put some different colored flake over the blue, or paint it black or silver before spraying it with blue flake.
It defineately needs something.
Yeah, that's the problem with pix...they just don't do a car's paint justice! In person the roof is more impressive because it has mini flakes scattered throughout the kandy; not to mention it's color matched with the wheels. But you're right, something was missing but I fixed that by recently having some pinstriping put on the body to match the roof.

How much flake was that per qt? Also, anyone knwo what that would look like if it was a mint green instead?

Did you have to do it in 4 stages, or is the pearl in the final clear?

Sorry for all the questions I am still learning all this stuff. And I am trying to figure out what to do for paint on my Bel Air.
I didn't paint the car so I'm not sure exactly how much flake/qt.

As for a mint green...I was originally gonna go with a silver/green flake and I saw some samples that looked pretty bad ass. I'd go for it.

And yes, it is a 4 stage because the pearl was not in the clear.

Hope this helps!
