Me and my pops are thinking about doing my car. He has done a few trucks before. I believe they were just single stage paints. My question is, if you just dont primer, base, and clear...do you have to wet sand? Is it always going to have that "orange peal" effect to it, or is that for more advanced paint jobs with candy and all that?

Thanks guys.

You are bound to have some kind of orange peel efect on any do it at home bc/cc.......even in most pro paint booth jobs for that matter......but it's ok, cuz thats why you cut and buff, and get that glass like glossy finish ;)

Yea....to have runs in your paint is better than having dry spots. Just put a little extra material on it if you plan on nibbing it out.
