ok i need some help with some mechanics here.. i changed my alternator going to change belt soon but battery keeps dying heres my problem... im looking at every lil thing like the glove box light or trunk light but i see nothing on. i have to jump my car evryday. but if i jump it and drive for a while and shut the car off i can start it back up a hr or 2 later or through the day but if i let the car sit over nite the battery is dead its a 92 probe and i heard these cars have that probem of goounding out quick but noone has told me why they say they junk it or sell it this is my ownly car so how can i fix it PLEASE HELP

u sure its not a fusible link or sumthing ?

well no i didnt becuz its brand new but i check it tomrrow.. i read from old post about checking it with a test light im going to do that tomrrow also

What's a test light gonna do that the lights in your car can't? Nothing.

You need to take it in and have it load tested. Thats the only way to tell if the battery is good or bad.

Does that alternator have an internal regulator? Or external? I know ford likes to use external regulators but I dont know if that 92 probe is one. You may want to find out because if the alternator is testing fine but the regulator is bad....there ya go.

If the battery tests good, the alternator tests good, the belt isn't slipping and the wiring/plugs on the alternator is good then you've got some other kind of battery drain issue.
