Where is the best place to cut the trunk pan on this Impala? The top of trunk area is solid put the bottom of the pan is very thin. I have a donor car with super solid trunk pan to cut out. I'm thinking of towards the bottom of the pan where it curves??

this is how i usually cut mine. from my experience, it makes it easier to give some overlap room to weld in the new pan flush on a flat surface. just make sure to cut the old trunk pan out exactly the same as the fresh one
