I have a 64 impala. I just had my drums "turned". I did not change the brake shoes. Now when I drive and I hit 50MPH, the car starts shaking. I noticed that my oil light came on as well. What could this be? Do I need the tires balanced or an alignment. How about adjusting the brakes. Please help. I am in Dallas and it was 85 degrees yesterday. What cruising weather it was.& I missed it. Much love Fam

When you wear your brakes down to metal, the metal on metal friction wears the drums. That means uneven wear on your drum lining. The remedy is to change brake shoes and "turn" or "smooth out" your drums.
