how do you break in subs, I just blew one of my legacy max 10's(there actualy pretty good, check youtube).there connected to my sterio and I decided to play a bass song on max and it sounded amazing for about half the song and then I smell smoke. At first I thought it was my sterio, but its rated at 650 watts(the subs peak is 800 watts).so I ask around and Someone asked if I broke them in, what is it how do you do it.

Turing the radio up too far, sending a clipped signal to the amp, in which the amp then amplifies the clipped signal to the speaker, changing it's output from AC voltage to DC voltage and frying your sub...

This usually happens when the gain on the amp is set too high...
