what guage/thickness do you guys use when bridgine the rear?? (spring perches, not chains)

also, do you use c channel or a combination of c channel and angle???

i remember seeing some pretty thick angle at a scrap yard, i was gonna just make "c" channel with some angle and flat 1/4...

maybe thicker than 1/4??????

thanks for any input..
