Building your own pump?

I was wondering if was possible to build your own pump with different parts from different brands? Everything should fit together right? For example, I want a black magic piston pump but with a 3 inch fatboy CCE block. Thanks for the advice fellas!

3/4 to 1'' counter sunk from edge of block, and the hole hole needs to be opened to 13/32 for the bigger diameter rod
We have piston tanks available:D
I might consider that?...CCE has piston pumps with the fatboy block kit?
