I just got the idea cause I decided to get rid of my 79 wagon project..


I got a 86 fwd coupe devlle with an engine i'm afraide to finde out whats all wrong with and the tranny is an even bigger mystery.....


my aunt has ETC that was totaled in a accident but the engine is still good is a swap possible or is the northstar too wide?

the coupe is purple and only gonna cost me $250 and I think the white guts from the etc would go realy nice with the purple ......not to mention how fast it would be with a northstar in it

it can very much be done, but you are far too poor to acomplish this feat :biggrin:

to do this you will need a stand alone engine managment system that can run a multiport fuel injection, fire coil packs, and control an electronically shifted 4t80e transmission, custom axles made, and you will also need to basically build a dash from scratch being that you will never get the on board diagnostics to function or get the speedometer to work,

so have at it champ

oh and if you want to use the factory computers, its time for you to take out a second mortgage, being that you will have to swap the whole body wiring harness from headlight to tail light and figure out how to shoe horn the factory dash in

actually its more of a fact that an 86 FWD deville is worth less then the 4100, (doesn't that car have a 4.5 liter?? A predecessor to the 4.9L?) let alone the northstar or the 1000s it would cost to do such a swap.

I'd do it just be a tard :cheesy:


and I like my 2000 DHS with Northstar :angry: fuckers!!
