If the carb is tuned properly you should not have any worries about smog. True they run right out of the box, but for smog applications you should get it dialed in better.

what size motor..
edelbrock makes EGR style polished intakes.. try them..
edelbrock only makes the #3701 EGR manifold for your motor that comes not polished I would try another brand[/b][/quote]
the part number for the #3701 polished is #37011, they just started making them available polished.
if your car had a v8 stock i think you could get it to pass with a 750 cfm it you tune it right.

just look for the egr port..
thats the only difference between an emissions legal and a non emissions legal intake
