Does anyone know how many inches you can get (if any) if you've got a coil that allows you to lay frame?

Can you hop at all? What's the max height?

YOU CAN BUT YOU RUN THE RISK OF BOTTOMING OUT (HITTING THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR). IF YOU BREAK SOMETHING GOOD LUCK GETTING HOME CAR TOO LOW TO TOW. LOTS OF STUFF YOU CAN RUIN HOPPING THIS WAY CROSS MEMBER OF FRAME TRANNY PAN ? REMEMBER FREAK STUFF HAPPENS DONT ALWAYS KNOW WHY LEAVE ENOUGH COIL TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE HOME IF HOSE,SOLENIOD,PUMP OR DUMPS FAIL.
my monte used to lay frame and i could hop it about 10 inches or so at best
MY LINCOLN TOWNCAR HAD A STOCK FLOOR BODYDROP DONE TO IT IT LAYS ROCKER... OF COARSE I HAVE NO SPRINGS JUST ACCUMS... NEWAYS I GOT A LITTLE TO EXCITED AND HIT THE SWITCH LIKE I WAS HOPPING MY DUMPS WERE JUST OPEN ENUFF AND I ACUALLY CAME OFF THE GROUND!! NOT RECOMMENDED I THINK I BENT SOMETHING ;) SO I SAY U CAN LAY FRAME AND HOP... BUT YES IF U BREAK SOMETHING U CANT DRIVE HOME ON THE GROUND SO I DUNNO... JUST GOTTA HAVE GOOD LUCK AND PROPER MAINTANANCE
im gettin like 15 - 20 inchs on 4 coils and i can lay frame but if the need arises to tow im screwed :(
I lay frame and I get about 20" w/ 48vlts. I welded a scrape plate up front b/c I smacked the shit outta my oil pan (leaked bad but I just welded up the crease)...so I installed the scrape plate so it hits the ground first instead of my pan. Also I ALWAYS keep 4 short pieces of 2x4's in my trunk to wedge in my a-arms up front incase anything ever breaks...
...going to the Uso show in Edinburg a hose busted and I killed a pump and was stuck of I65. I just threw some wood up front and still rolled to the show w/ 1 pump and showed. You make choices, just be prepared to handle them. ;)
oh, 1 ton coils w/ 3 turns and regular cups. If I were to get deep cups I could run more coil for more hop. Thats another option you could have.

Its off topic but I advise everyone gets to know a tow truck driver! My car lays frame, and the first time it broke down, I thought I was shit up a creek without a paddel... to tow a car that lays frame, you have to pull your car on a flat bed but using 5 foot wood planks, and the bed of the truck takes all of the weight because the cars hydraulic supension.. So alot of truck drivers wont touch a lowlow.. get to know a tower before its too late!
hahaha! i actually used the wood trick on my nissan before when my upper cylinder mount in the front left broke.
Dude. It's an ugly sight to see (and feel) cars bottom out! Don't do it! It'll be absolute murder on your crossmember! Please dont! Just lay the ass end down if anybody says anything. You can always just make that lay. ;)
