Just want to make sure as I'm trying different configurations for the front of the Towncar I'am working on. What number is used to referance the gear size? Can I just measure the width of the gears to tell which it is also?

You add 2 to the number "6 AS" = #8 but it is really a #7. I have the exact gear and a few that are "5 AS" and they are the same.

Man I'm worse off now than before I asked. My understanding is that the higher the # the wider the gears are in the pump. Can anyone say for sure if that is true. Thats how I would tell the difference on the old fenner stone gears.

Well for now I've got 8 Powervolt group 31 1250cca (@ 75 degrees) and a single gate to the nose on the 95 Towncar. It was a double but I was having problems left and right so we decided to go single until we get all the bugs sorted out. Getting a new set of coils since the dam 4.5 tons we put in it just won't break in. So far the only fire has been from the soleniods.
