can anyone help..

my car is silver..base & clear..
the paintwork very very clean ( apart from one panel thats needs to re-done)

Question 1..
if i choose to finish the car in a candy blue, can i use the existing base color to my advantage?? ( is the base color for a cndy blue. silver.?)

Question 2..
one panel needs to be repainted ( in silver ), and i know silver is a bitch to color match..Will a slight mis-match in the silver base be hidden by the candy or will it be amplified..

thaks guys..

1. Yes sir, your gonna have to scotch bright the clear though.

2. It will show, candy is translucent and shows everything! However you should be able to color match fairly easily, take it to your local auto paint store and have them help you out! They're pretty good at helping when they know they're bout to make a sale on the new paint.
