I have 2 gaskets and a metal plate. One gasket looks like a complete square and the other has some sort Y shape. I was told that a gasket goes on the motor then the metal plate, then the other gasket and then the carb. Any ideas on how it goes and which gasket goes closest to the motor? I have a 327 with a 4 barrel carb if that helps any. Thanks for your input.

not too sure I had a 327 intake on my 66s 400 and it was a factory camaro intake ,i put a edelbrock on it and I used the generic edelbrock gaskets, you got a quadrajet intake? its prolly a heat insulator or something? never saw this particular setup

use one gasket on each side of the metal thing. or just one gasket, and no metal plate. match it up to the intake and the carb to make sure they both match. when you install it, tighten it criss cross. dont kill it. if it still leaks, add the orange stuff. before you install ANY gaskets, you need to clean it off as much as possible. make sure there are no gouges in any mating surfaces.
