ok when it comes to older cars they have larger size alternators my stock is a 160amp with a 400cu in engine. i am contimplating replacing it with a stock sized one, or a all chrome 100amp alt.

i will have about 2000w of car audio and all new alternator and battery wires.

wich would you all recommend?

ok i found a brand new delco 160 amp that will fit on ebay for 100 shipped so i jumped on it.

are you sure the stock one is 160 amps? you said your engine is a 400 so i guessin its at least 20 years old, old cars didnt have powerful alternators, you sure its not 60 amps?
