Column Shifter
How hard is it to change a Column Shifter to a Floor Shifter in a 1984 Monte? Installing buckets so I want to bring my shifter to the floor.

Maybe I didn't make it clear. I want to know exactly what it takes to do this.

shouldn't be too bad. You will have to get the parts for it and switch the cables. You will have to drill a hole in the floor to put the cable through, and I'm pretty sure you will have to get a cable that is for a floor shifter. But they are like 20 bucks.
The cable connects to the tranny with a cotter pin.
look at the tranny where it is connected, all you will be doing is taking off the cable that is on there now and re-routing the cable from the floor shifter.
